Appy TV Streaming Box

Streaming boxes are great for catching up on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and more. If you – like a huge percentage of others in the world – have a ‘dumb’ TV, that doesn’t have these streaming services built in; these boxes are invaluable to you! I was tasked with designing a new version of the current Appy TV box.

These boxes work by utilising the Android operating system, meaning everything is app-based. With this in mind, I decided to go for a rounded corner look, as that is what Google was doing at the time with the app icons in the Play Store. I wanted to make it super sleek, thin and modern looking.

Not only did I have to design the streaming box, but, I also had to design the packaging it goes in and the new smart remote it will be boxed with. All in all, this was a very fun project as I had complete free licence on what to do and I was really made up with the results.
